Business Skills VisaThe business skills visas are for business people who wish to conduct short business trips, establish or manage a new or existing business or invest in Australia. The business skills visas are categorised into 3 groups: short business trips, provisional business skills and permanent business skills. The short business trip visas are for business people who wish to attend conferences, meetings, training sessions, to conduct business negotiations or to make an exploratory business visit. The main short business trips visa are the: business (short trip) visa (subclass 456), sponsored business (short trip) visitor visa (subclass 459) and ETA (business entrant) visa (subclass 956 and subclass 977). The provisional business skills visas are for business people who wish to establish a business, or manage an existing business. The main provisional business visas, which include state/territory sponsored are the business owner (provisional) visa (subclass 160 and subclass 163), the senior executive visa (subclass 161 and subclass 164) and investor visa (subclass 162 and subclass 165). The permanent business skills visas are for those who hold the provisional business skills visa and meet other requirements such as turnover, ownership interest, net business and personal assets.
